The chalet is just a 10min/1ml walk from the town of Houffalize, with its shops, restaurants and street side terraces. Houffalize is a typical Ardennes village, approx. 15mls South from the well-known La-Roche-en-Ardenne. 

The town is located on a peninsula on the Ourthe River, and surrounded by hills. It is generally recognized to be the mountain bike-capital of Belgium.

The town is just 10 miles from Bastogne, in the midst of the "Battle of the Bulge" area, with numerous witnesses from WWII's most deadly battle. (Houffalize itself is home to a Panther Tank).

The chalet is your perfect venue to start exploring the numerous WWII landmarks and museums nearby.
